Non-woven Pocket Air Filter Material

Nonwoven filters are used to filter impurities in the air. The fibers in nonwoven filter media are staggered, fine in diameter, with small pores and uniform distribution. The porosity of the product can be changed by adjusting the process parameters, such as fiber density, net thickness, spray volume, needling density, number of sewing machines, needle pitch, etc. Therefore it is easy to change varieties to meet different filtration requirements. Different fibers can also be used to adapt to the pH and other chemical properties of the filter media.

Methods for producing nonwoven materials for air filtration include needling, bonding and stitching. Needle-punched nonwoven filter media, also known as needle-punched filter mats, are divided into two types of filter mats with and without a base fabric. In general, the base cloth filter pad has a greater ability to withstand the filtration pressure. The porosity of the filter mat is 70%~80%, which is greater than the porosity of the woven fabric. Therefore, when the "true filtration speed" is the same, the ability of the filter pad to handle dust is greater than that of conventional fabrics.
